Wine Tasting with Affinity Wines
/Robert from Affinity Wines visited the Astra on a cold winter day to showcase their finest wines. The tasting began with a crisp Italian Prosecco, offering fruity hints of peach and green apple. Our palates then travelled to New Zealand's Marlborough region for a robust Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant fruit flavours and refreshing acidity. We then savoured a Riesling from Eden Valley in S.A., a versatile wine perfect for immediate enjoyment or long-term aging. After sampling all the white wines, we moved onto a French Rose from the Alpes De Haute Provence, this delightful wine is easy to drink and made with some of the best grapes in the region. Transitioning to reds, we indulged in Eden Hall Wines Shiraz, a luxurious five-star wine with notes of mulberry jam, chocolate, and mint. Lastly, a French Merlot Cabernet Franc treated us to a delightful blend of black and red fruits. Following the tasting, we relished charcuterie and engaged in lively conversations in the lounge, extending the sampling well into the early evening.
