Melbourne Cup Day

A slightly late post-Melbourne Cup post... It was a lovely sunny day for the race that stops the nation, and we enjoyed a relaxing lunch and a chat throughout the afternoon. We had roast chicken and BBQ steak, stir fried veggies and a selection of salads, as well as cheese and biscuits and fruit and ice cream for dessert. A veritable feast! As it was a celebration we also had wine, sparkling wine and a lovely summery PIMM’s…cheers everyone! The racing decorations were out, making the lounge look colourful, and they were complimented by the fabulous outfits, hats and fascinators worn by the residents. After lunch we organised sweeps for the main event, and the excitement built to a peak as 3pm drew near. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who came along to take part. We love to have you with us at our festivities every time - it makes us very happy to celebrate with you!
