We are incredibly proud that the Astra has been a Round Three participant building in Waverley Council’s award-winning Building Futures program. Our project involved the upgrade of all the lighting in the building to achieve energy savings, lowering our greenhouse gas emissions. To see more about the program visit Waverley Council’s website.

And energy efficiency is just the start of it! When she visited us, Mayor Paula Masselos was also impressed by the recycling projects that Bondi Beach Astra and the residents have adopted. In addition to the mixed recycling that we already had, last year we joined a council scheme to install textiles recycling bins in the building. Little by little we are trying to do our bit for sustainability and the environment into 2023 and beyond…
